Chelating-Complex Micelle (CCM)

Chelating-Complex Micelle (CCM) is composed of polyethylene glycol micelle with a metal moiety at the center which interacts – chelates-with blocking copolymers to form reversible bonds. CCM prolongs the half-life of the drug and can be tuned, by changing the diameters of the micelles, to modify the distribution of the micelle-drug complex in the body. These formulation modifications also increase their effective half-life while reducing potentially adverse effects.
